This feedback is going to be in English because of the groom as this is being written by the two of us.
Over one year we created a relationship with both Branca and José not only based on the business but we were lucky enough to become friends with this wonderful couple which helped considerably because we live in England and we only went to Portugal three times before the wedding.
We knew from the beginning that we didn't want the box standards wedding reception and me, the Bride, was also a bit of a control freak with lack of ability to let go of the position of control of every single element of the wedding - so to find someone that was able to take on board our demands could have been a challenge.
Our first meeting, one year before the wedding took place in a very chic and english sort of coffee shop which is the central base do their business, Sweet Moments, in Rua de Santa Catarina Porto following what was a very easy message exchange via facebook and then emails between Branca and us after we saw a photo of one of their weddings on Pinterest.
It couldn't have been easier the first meeting and we knew there and then that they were the caterers for our wedding - even do we still didn't have a location for it.
They listened to what we wanted and expected from the day, Branca tried to incorporate and create recipes around traditional British savouries, sweets, cakes with a Portuguese twist.
When we finally found the venue, they were on board of the slightly different arrangement and set up when compared to traditional weddings in Portugal and were always there whenever we had to meet on site or whenever we had to check details of the wedding.
They done the catering, decorating, my flower bouquet, the lapel flowers for the grooms/groomsmen, decorated the inside and outside with combination of my decorations and decorations they provided.
Branca even done the cake also for a friend of ours whose birthday was on our wedding day.
We couldn't have asked for a better team on the day of the wedding as certainly their availability, support and professionalism allowed us to spend more time enjoying our wedding day instead of worrying and stressing about every detail of the day.
We're now looking forward to meet Branca and Jose next time we go to Portugal to meet over dinner for a francesinha.
